A note for our guests with pet allergies
If you’d like to book a Zen-tensive class with an overnight stay, you can do so on the class booking page. Just select the “Saori Zen-tensive with Overnight Stay (8 hours)” option on the first page when you’re selecting which class to register for.
If you would like to book an overnight stay for 2 half-day classes, or for a special workshop or event, please contact us.

Alice Room

The Alice Room is located on the first floor of our home. The decorations are based on Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland but we have tried to stay with more of a classic theme. The room features many pieces of custom artwork, most notably, the Paint Them Red painting by Melissa Gay, which provided the inspiration for the room.

The Alice room has a Queen size bed with both soft and firm pillows. The nightstand has a charging stand that works for most phones and tablets (equipped with lightning, mini USB, and USB-C cables). There is a small dressing table with stool and a luggage rack. Freshly laundered cotton robes are in the closet and available for your use during your stay.

This room has a television with Sling TV, Netflix, and HBO. There is also Wi-Fi coverage in both the studio and the guest rooms.

This room has an en suite bathroom with a tub/shower and a bidet. There are lots of clean towels and a selection of toiletries available to make your stay more comfortable or in case you’ve forgotten an essential item. If you are the only guest during your stay then this is a private bathroom. However, the upstairs Flamingo room only has a half bath attached to the room so guests in that room will need to coordinate with you to use your shower. Typically, when we have guests in both rooms, they have traveled in together and are already friends. If that is not the case, we are hopeful that you will become fast friends at the studio!

The heating and cooling thermostat for the guest side of the house is right outside this bedroom, so you can set the temperature to your comfort level.

We hope you will think of the house as your home while you are here. Feel free to hang out (with or without us) in the living room, dining room, kitchen, or porch. Or, if you need quiet time to regroup before whatever adventures tomorrow brings, we won’t be offended if you prefer your room.

While breakfast is not specifically included, there is coffee, tea, and a selection of self-serve type breakfast items like granola bars, muffins, oatmeal. If you prefer to bring your own “fixin’s” to cook a hot breakfast, you are welcome to use anything in the well outfitted kitchen.

Flamingo Room

The Flamingo room is located on the second floor of our home. It is decorated with a variety of, well, yes, flamingos! And one wall of the room is well insulated with Sarah’s yarn and fiber stash.

This room features a queen size murphy bed with lots of pillows. The built in bookshelves/cabinets on either side of the murphy bed are filled with knitting, quilting, and sewing books. There is a charging stand with lightning, mini USB, and USB-C cables beside the bed. This room has a luggage rack and a freshly laundered cotton robe for use during your stay.

Although this room does not have a television, there is wi-fi access.

This room has an attached half-bath with a selection of toiletries to make your stay more comfortable. Guests in this room will coordinate showering with guests in the Alice room.

Additional Accommodations

For special workshops or events, we now also have overflow guest housing in the studio! We have a twin-size rollaway bed as well as air mattresses of various sizes to accommodate additional guests, slumber party style, in the studio. The studio is equipped with a kitchen including microwave and coffee pot. The studio bathroom has a wonderful walk-in shower.

Perrin the Housecat

We do have one sweet cat named Perrin. Perrin is not allowed in the guest rooms, but he is an indoor cat and does have free access throughout the rest of the house. We have previously had guests with mild cat allergies who have said they had no issues staying here. However, if you have a severe cat allergy, you may want to consider alternate accommodations. We take our guests’ comfort seriously and would hate for your stay to be ruined or your sleep impaired due to itching, sneezing, or other allergy symptoms.

The studio is a completely separate building and no cat has ever been inside the studio.
